Life is Precious

It was in the first quarter of the year 2001 when another problem in my life began. I had taken ill and received treatment from the school clinic without improvement. I decided to travel home to my family where I was sure of better medical care.

The next day, my elder brother and I had to go to the hospital where the Doctor required I run tests. When the test result came, the Doctor then told me that apart from malaria parasites and oral thrush which i was diagnosed with, I was also tested to be positive with tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.

At this point, my life crashed. Prior to this time, I had heard about HIV/AIDS and tried as much as possible (to a large extent) to avoid any form of contraction of this disease since it is not contracted through sex alone. This sad news engulfed every member of my family and immediately, I began the treatment. However, prayer for divine healing and health was the major instrument my family and I used to fight this battle. My academics suffered, emotionally, I was down, physically I seemed defeated but I held unto faith in God for perfect touch from God in my life. Amongst other anointed men of God that prayed with me was Rev. Arome Adah of Savannah Ministries in Abuja.

In February of 2005, I went for an HIV test and to the glory and honor of God’s name, I tested negative and thank God because I am totally free from the shackles of the Devil.
